Finally moving out of Geocities after over a decade of hosting there.
What else this means, I don't know. I'm not promising anything.
But! You can look forward to the following things soon:
1. A site with no ads! 2. The entire Anaphylaxis discography, except maybe Noise for Lovers, freely downloadable. 3. That includes the new one, whenever we finish it.
Thank you for your time and kind attention. |

It has been a long, long time since I updated here-- sorry! Things have been hectic and bizarre, as usual. And we've been up to a lot of stuff.
First, big news: we're playing with Death Factory, Spunky Toofers, and Rick Garrett at the Empty Bottle on Tuesday, December 18th! This is Death Factory's record release show, and we're very excited to be sharing the stage with them. If you're anywhere near Chicago, please come out! It's going to be a great show.
Shell Beach has been postponed until 2008. Apologies all around, I really thought we were going to get it out by the end of this year but it hasn't worked out that way. Recording is pretty much completely done, now it's just mixing and playing with sounds until it's just right. We will likely have a limited edition cd of the "workprint" version of the album for sale soon, I'll post more when that is all lined up.
As for what else we've been up to, please check out: Prairie Primitives Engine Beach Promessa Ray St. Ray the Singing Cab Driver and Chameleon World Life After Records |

I posted a brand new Anaphylaxis track called "Ice Princess" to the Myspace page. It's a hint of the direction Anaphylaxis is moving in after the new album is done. I'm leaving it up for a week to stream. Headphones are strongly recommended, as usual.
Work is very nearly complete on Shell Beach, the 2007 Anaphylaxis album. It will be eight tracks and over an hour. It is the end of a very ill-defined, unofficial "trilogy" with the last two albums (so now then and noise for lovers). Plans are already being made for the next album, which will be titled Snow Country.
Andrew and I are staying very busy with various projects-- I'll be playing in his band Prairie Primitives at the Autobahn Festival on March 24th. Andrew is also working on Engine Beach and I'm planning more Promessa releases for the Summer and Fall. We'll likely be playing shows again this year in the Chicago area.
Thank you all for your kind attention and continued interest. |

I didn't know about it until just now, but there's an interview with me up on the Losing Today website! It's really long and I sound like a dork. As per usual.

The Bad Dog Tavern show with Locrian and Cartoon Animals went very well! Thank you to everyone who made it out, hopefully we'll be playing the Bad Dog again sometime this Fall.
DJ Shudder, who did the video projection at our Elbo Room show with Firelight Rising and 0+1=Everything has posted a couple of videos of the anaphylaxis set here. Very nice!
We might have a show or two before Autobahn in October. Keep checking here and the Myspace page for more information.

Due to work commitments, anaphylaxis has had to cancel our appearance in the Gand Music & Audio Battle of the Bands this Friday. We wish the best to the other bands participating and encourage anyone in the area to drop by and check it out. And maybe buy some stuff, they're nice people at Gand.
anaphylaxis will be playing this coming Sunday 25 June at The Waiting Room with By the End of Tonight (Texas, on Temporary Residence) and Buxton (also from Texas)! The Waiting Room is located at 7016 N Glenwood here in Chicago. Show is ALL AGES, $5, and early: doors at 6:00 p.m., show starts at 7:00 p.m. There should be one more act on this bill, I'll update here and the Myspace page (and the flyer!) when I get that information.

anaphylaxis will be returning to Corduroy's Espresso Spot on July 17th to play with Lexington, Kentucky's Petticoat, Petticoat! ALL AGES, $5, doors at 7:00 p.m. and show starts at 8:00 p.m. Again, there will be one more band playing the same night. Keep checking here and the Myspace page for updated information.
Thanks for your time! |

How did you celebrate the International Day of Slayer? I hope you spent it the way it should be spent, around the hearth with loving family reminiscing about memories past.
Some show news!

10 June 2006: anaphylaxis will be playing a FREE SHOW at Marshall McGearty Tobacco Lounge at 1553 North Milwaukee in Chicago! We'll be on from 9:00 p.m. until Midnight, probably do a couple of sets and some DJ stuff in between. Come out anytime from 9 till midnight and hang out! This show is 21+.
16 June 2006: Chicago house show at 1630 N. Oakley (aka The James Brown Rape Tank) with anaphylaxis 0+1=Everything, Beast What Squeaks, and more! Not sure about price or when this one is going to start, probably 9:00 or 10:00, be sure to check the anaphylaxis Myspace page for more info as we get it. This show is also 21+.
23 June 2006: Not exactly a show, but anaphylaxis will be playing Gand Music & Audio's Battle of the Bands! The store is at 780 Frontage Road in Northfield, Illinois. Again, not sure about tickets or admission price, the show starts at 6:30 p.m. and there will be four bands doing 15-minute sets, order will be determined by random drawing before the show starts. Come out and vote for anaphylaxis! Your guess is as good as mine. It's all ages, though! |
